29K?? I suppose thatīs miles. I snapped a belt at 48000km's, which is 30K in miles, so that's pretty close.
I wonder who has claimed the belt should last 80K. When Kawasaki's belt- driven 454LTD first came out they stated that the belt is good for 30K miles, so the 30K seems to be reasonable.
You can predict pretty closely when the belt is on its last legs. There will be thin white lines running across it indicating there are hairline cracks in it.
